Accordingly, if you are selling your home, your carbon monoxide detectors must stay (they are not “furniture or house hold furnishings” which can be removed per contract). Accordingly, if you are selling your home and want to reduce the stress and drama at your closing, make sure that your carbon monoxide detectors are working and remain in place.
